Cub Scout Trail
The Cub Scout Trail is an appligame designed to increase achievement and retention in Cub Scouting via an integrated online approach.
Currently, Scouting at least in the U.S. requires a massive amount of paperwork. Advancement is recorded in a paper handbook, this data is then transferred manually to paper forms and submitted in person or through snail mail. Occasionally this information can again be re-recorded manually to a digital data base.
One of our goals is to reduce duplication of effort and save the forest at the same time. While not intended to replace the handbooks, The Cub Scout Trail aims to enhance the scouting experience and blend offline advancement curriculum with gamified online engagement.
The ultimate goal is to make things more engaging for scouts and more efficient for parents and leaders.
